The Verge
Sunday night at Effort Church from 5:00-7:00 is The Verge. You don't want to miss out! This is a service build just for youth from September-May. We have a time of worship and teaching, then a time for connect groups where you can hang out and meet people your age and unpack the teaching heard and begin to take practical steps to applying it.
Awaken
We have a new service called Awaken Sunday Morning at 9:30am year-round. This is a time to awaken to the things God is doing in you and the world around you. This is another great time to build relationships and get inspired to change your world. In these classes we go through and unpack the Bible in a deeper way.
Celebrate Recovery
On Tuesday nights we offer Celebrate Recovery from September-May. This is a class designed for anyone who is dealing with any kind of habits, hurts, or hang-ups. We try to deal with the more difficult situations of life and find healing for them. Teenagers who struggle with issues of death, addiction, divorce, abuse and neglect are invited to this class. There is a teaching section at the beginning of this class and then students move into small groups where they further discuss the issues facing them and find hope and healing for those areas.
Wednesday Night Bible Study
On Wednesday nights there is a bible study but conducted in more of a discussion type atmosphere, where students get to ask more questions and express their curiosity from September-May. This is also a great place for students to go deeper in their walk with God. There are two classes on Wednesday night, 6:30 pm, one for middle school and one for high school. This is a great time to meet new people, build relationships, and learn more about God.
Retreats & Camps
These are the times of our live's that are the most life-changing for students. These are times where students can get away from the normal everyday life to experience more. Not only are these opportunities some of the most fun students will ever have but they will also be the times to experience God the most. Our summer camp is hosted at Watermarks Camp. Mission Projects
One thing that we believe is essential to spreading the gospel is serving others. To participate in this we go on foreign and United States mission projects. Projects could include anything from helping the homeless, building homes, feeding the hungry, nurturing and ministering to children as well as preaching, teaching and evangelism. We strongly believe that it is through serving others that the world itself will be changed.
