A Call to Prayer: "24 on the 24th!"
There will be a 24-hour Prayer Vigil beginning at 6 AM on Friday, February 24, to pray for the next season in the life of the church at Effort, including prayer support for the Search Team, new Pastoral leadership, future direction for the church, and that we will hear the Lord clearly. The Family Life Center chapel will be open for the entire 24-hour period from 6 AM Friday the 24th to 6 AM Saturday the 25th. The prayer team will be available in the chapel from 6 to 8 AM on Friday, and again from 8 PM Friday to 6 AM on Saturday. The team will facilitate periods of soaking prayer to quiet music, prayer walking through the building, and other ways of focusing prayer. Come and go as you want. Feel free to bring a sleeping mat for the overnight period. Writing materials will be provided for you to record any impressions you receive during your time of prayer. We are led to this time of prayer by 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Wanda Kidd will serve as the Liaison from the Personnel Committee. A liaison will also be chosen from the Church Council. Please keep all of these faithful servants in prayer as they begin the search process.
Next Steps: Now that a Search Committee has been selected, the Transition Team will meet with that Committee one final time to pass along all of the information it collected to guide the search process. After that meeting, the Transition Team will disband, and the Search Committee will move forward.
