Men's Ministry
|
|
The Men's Ministry at Effort Baptist Church combines opportunities for
Bible study, worship, retreats, and fellowship. Beginning the fall of
07, our Men's Ministry includes a Men's Bible study on Nehemiah - Getting
It Right the Second Time, a Men's Worship Service (usually on the second
Thursday of each month) and a Fall and Spring retreat. Check the
calendar of events each week in the bulletin or find scheduled events on
our website.

Women's
Ministry
|
|
Women’s ministries at Effort are exciting! We have morning and evening
bible studies to provide opportunities for fellowship and growth. Ladies
Latte Fellowship is held in the FLC chapel on the first Thursday of every
month from 7-9 p.m. It is a time of teaching fellowship and refreshments.
The Women’s Ministry holds a yearly women’s conference and a yearly
spring retreat. Women are also involved in the Salvation Army ministry.

Senior Adults
Keenagers is a gathering of
senior (50+) adults who meet for devotions, meals, special
events, and Sunday School and a way for senior adults to remain
connected to Effort as a community. Check the calendar for dates
and times.

Recovery
Classes
Effort has seasonal recovery classes that offer face to face
support for hurting people to find out they are not alone as they
work through difficult issues and situations.

Adult Bible Study
Sunday Morning
There are numerous bible studies on Sunday morning to help people understand
and apply the bible to everyday life. These Bible studies
include both Biblically themed Bible study and verse-by-verse
Bible study.
Wednesday Evening
Wednesday evening bible study meets from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Combined with the Wednesday meal at 5:30; it is a great time for
food, fellowship and Biblical teaching.
Adult Small Group Bible
Study
Every Fall and Spring Effort offers manySmall Group Bible studies
in people's homes and at the church during various nights of the
week. Small Group Bible Studies help people grow stronger in
their faith as they share important questions and concerns with
one another.

Prayer
Ministry
Effort’s Prayer Team meets daily for prayer. We invite you to
join us to be prayed for, or to pray with us for our church,
community, nation, and world. In addition, we invite prayer

Athletics & Exercise
New opportunities for adults to gather in Christian fellowship
while exercising or playing their favorite sports activity were
made possible with the addition of our Family Life Center. Adult
co-ed volleyball and co-ed aerobics are currently being offered
year-round. During the winter months, the gym is also available
for free play basketball. Because your physical health is
important to your Christian walk, more indoor and outdoor
activities are currently being planned for members and friends of
Effort.

Community/Missions
Effort lives out the call to go and tell. We are involved in
missions in our own backyard as well as around the world. We are
passionate about preparing and sending teenagers and adults to
people and places in great need.
We are involved in Mission
Trips, Fluvanna Habitat, Salvation Army Ministry in
