1. Pay Off the Family Life Center The Church owes 1.34 million
dollars. In September, we will make another lump sum payment to pay down the
debt. The ministry programs of the weekday Preschool, After School Program, and
Summer Program create a revenue stream of approximately $80,000 a year. This
will cover a large share of the interest so that almost every penny you give
will go to principle. Pray that giving to Build the Future will continue to be
strong and that we can quickly pay off the debt. Pray for our Church Council
and Finance Committees as they decide how best to pay down the debt.
2. Completion of the Ball Fields God has blessed us with a
great Upward Basketball and Cheerleading program. With the completion of our
soccer/football field and softball field we can add Upward Soccer and Upward
Flag Football, plus our own adult softball. Pray that we can complete our ball
fields soon.
3. New Parking Lot Without more parking in a year or two we
will plateau in worship attendance. There are drawings for a parking lot along
Thomas Jefferson Pkwy. (Route 53). Pray that all obstacles are removed to
create more parking.
4. Sunday School Corridor Our Building Teams did a fantastic
job planning for the Sanctuary and the Family Life Center. These drawings also
call for a Sunday school corridor between the Sanctuary and the Family Life
Center. This corridor will provide much needed classroom space for our
Preschool and Children’s Sunday school, The Children’s Place (our weekday
preschool), and our After School. Pray that God will bless us with continued
numerical growth and spiritual health so that we can build this much needed
building.
5. The Children’s Building I have a dream that one day our
preschoolers and children will play safely and study God’s word in a spacious,
state-of-the-art building designed for children. This would be a wonderful
outreach to our community and allow growth in all areas of our preschool and
children’s ministry. Pray that God will make this dream a vision and this
vision a reality.
