Men's Ministry
Band of Brothers
Through fellowship, recreation, Bible study, worship, retreats, and small groups the men’s ministry seeks to connect men with one another and with God. Join us on the first and third Thursday on every month for a study for you!
A man's pride will bring him low; but the humble in spirit will retain honor. Proverbs 29:23

Adult Bible Study
Sunday Morning
There are numerous Bible studies on Sunday morning to help people understand and apply the Bible to everyday life. These Bible studies include both Biblically themed Bible study and verse-by-verse Bible study.
Wednesday Evening
Wednesday evening Bible study meets from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Effort offers many types of Bible study on Wednesday evening.
Adult Small Group Huddle Ministry
Every Fall and Spring Effort offers many Small Group Bible studies on various nights of the week. Small Group Bible Studies help people grow stronger in their faith as they share important questions and concerns with one another.
Prayer Ministry
Prayer Mondays
Every Monday morning, from 6:00-8:00 a.m., members of the Prayer Team are available at the Family Life Center portico to bless members of our community on their way to work or school. What a beautiful way to start your week! If you would like to BE a blessing, come join the Prayer Team on Monday mornings. If you would like to RECEIVE a blessing, simply drive up to the portico and we will be available to pray for specific needs or to simply ask the Lord to bless your week. Prayer Team members are standing just inside the doors to the Family Life Center. When you drive up, we will come out and pray for you.
On Monday evenings, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., we meet in the Traditional Sanctuary during the school year and in the Family Life Center Chapel during the summer for a time of corporate praise and prayer. The Praise Team leads us in worship from 6:30-7:00 p.m., and then we create a prayer circle and address needs of individuals and the church. Child care is provided! During the summer, join us through the outside door to the Chapel.
Daily Morning Prayer
Weekday mornings, Tuesdays through Fridays, members of the Prayer Team meet in the Family Life Center Chapel from 6:00-8:00 a.m. The small outside door to the left of the portico leads directly into the Chapel. If you need special prayer for a challenging circumstance in your life, a health problem, or to intercede for a family member, we will be happy to pray for you. Or, come and join the Prayer Team. We are praying for the needs of our church, community, nation and world. We welcome anyone who would like to join us.
"We can never expect to grow in the likeness of our Lord unless we follow His example and give more time to communion with the Father. A revival of real praying would produce a spiritual revolution."
--E.M. Bounds
Weekend Prayer
Every Saturday and Sunday, members of the Prayer team gather in the Family Life Center Chapel from 8:00-9:00 a.m. (and sometimes we are there until 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays) to prepare hearts for our worship services and to pray specifically for our Leadership. We welcome anyone from the community who wants to come by for prayer -- for healing, for help with life's circumstances, and to intercede for others. The outside door to the Chapel will be open, and all are welcome to join us.
Recovery Classes & Celebrate Recovery
Effort has seasonal recovery classes that offer face to face support for hurting people to discover they are not alone as they work through difficult issues and situations. We meet Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm in the FLC chapel.
Celebrate Recovery is a weekly program to help those struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups by showing the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. We realize our churches and communities are filled with people who are struggling with pain, shame and addictions. Based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory, this recovery program is unique and effective in helping people change. Most people are familiar with the classic 12 step program of A.A. and other groups. While undoubtedly many lives have been helped through the twelve steps this program is not vague about a higher power. This program is dependent upon the nature of God, the saving power of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We meet every Tuesday evening in our FLC Chapel from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Meetings are held from September through July.
